Hi all,

As the AR news thread was popular for wanted / suggested models to be produced I've decided to set up a suggestions thread. This is where you can continue to post your suggestions for them.
Please do not use the Alomst Real Hobby Headlines News thread.

Thanks,
Craig

I'm still crossing my fingers for the XJ220, I once asked them about it, they said they were discussing it....that was 3 or 4 years ago unfortunately

After the disappointment of the Top Marques version, I'd kill for a decent XJ220. And I'd pay a good chunk of money for it if it were fully opening and the right shape.
Since this company loves to produce SUV's and such , they should make the Rolls Royce Cullinan then. Now I would love to add that to my collection of Phantoms and such if they did that.

Amen! I'd happily go into CMC money to get a high-end fully opening diecast of the XJ220!

There's obviously the demand, makes you wonder why diecast manufacturers don't use a crowdfunding model to get a project like that off the ground. Die-hard collectors could pitch in a few hundred Euros each in the knowledge that they'd be guaranteed to get the model they want, and it would underwrite some of the risk from the manufacturers.
Either that, or something like the Lego Ideas portal where you can vote for your favourite stuff and it gets put into production. That seems pretty successful and at least the manufacturers would know there's the interest.

Anyway, if I ever win big on the lottery I'm going to bankroll Almost Real to make the XJ220 under licence, as long as it's super-detailed. Look out for SMC (Spikyone Model Cars) hitting the shelves soon.

Hahahah I'll look for that!

Never thought about crowdfunding for models, but it is certainly an idea worth considering

Otto-mobile is already half-way with their Club. You make a reservation and pay up front which will reduce the risk for the manufacturer.

I think Diecast Legends already have it as a pre-order!

I think history is in the making, not once before have so many collectors been this excited about a future model, and I think we have reasons to be!

I really hope this model gives them more strength to produce other really desired models (XJ220
)

Yes I agree! A fully opening XJ220 is certainly in order. Opening doors, engine cover, front, rear trunk (not many people know this but the XJ220 actually has a trunk space 6 inches deep behind the engine and the wing comes up with it since it's attached), working headlights
Imagine the price of it if they made it like that!
Does anyone know why the GLS Brabus ans S63 and other models where canceled? I am sick of those Land Rovers and Maybachs... I hope the Huayra BC and Zonda Revolucion will go into production soon (but I doubt it).
I hope they will make a Bentley Continental GT
Hahaha man I was waiting for the RR 1970 and some good defenders! They release the camel trophy versions
. I am just waiting for the 110 adventure edition and the red V8 works defender 90. And for sure want to see the discovery camel trophy one. After that, I hope they could bring some interesting AMG models like a R129 S73 AMG, W100 600 SWB in other colors.

I hope for some models that are not aviable as full openings. I still want an RS3 or M2 as a full opening (by any brand). I am not really into SUVs tho (not everybodys taste I guess), if I would buy one it would be the GLS Brabus, GLC AMG or GLE AMG... But an SVR Sport would be nice too. I like some newtimer SUVs but I am getting sick of those G classes....

[/quote]The F-Type SVR with full opening parts wouldn't hurt either. I too am tired of all these Maybach/Mercedes and Land Rovers. The 2003 Bentley Speed 8 which won the 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans w/opening parts would also be a godsend from Heaven. Which is something Autoart failed to deliver on.

This sealed/resin BS has just gone too far. But, IMO, making 1/18 scale models with wheels that don't even roll, regardless of any reason is the most blasphemous part about this hobby.
AR's biggest problem has to be their highly questionable subject matters.

I think biggest problem is too big wait list. For some models we are waiting 4 years now. . . But that might be a good thing too, it gives us time to rethink our decision many times :D
And prices. They are too high. . . .

I also loved all their Land / Range Rover offerings and looking forward to the 110 adventure and the Trans America Range Rovers too. I would really like it if they produced a couple of Forward Controls either the Series 2A FC or/and the 101FC V8.

Anything Japanese that hasn't been made. Supras, Silvias, Type R Civics - only FK2 and FK8 exist iirc. Would love to see their attention to detail being applied to anything not european for a change
