Hi Guys,

I am trying to remove the base on my 1:18 Hotwheels Ferrari F2001 which is held in place by 4 screws. I have removed the screws and still cant remove the base :confused :confused

The base still seems to be joined to the rest of the car where the radiators are (on both sides). So.......................for anyone who has done this before, how do I pry away the base from the car at these 2 points ???

Many thanks in advance.

I apologize up front that I don't have a suggestion for your question. I'm sure in due time, someone ought to be able to provide you a knowledgeable answer.

That aside, welcome to the DX Forum ultramic!

Maybe this particular diecast model just has really good tires that are gripping the base??

:lol :lol :lol

Sorry, I couldn't help myself! :giggle
Maybe if the safety car comes out for a few laps, Schumi's tires will get cold real fast like at Spa this past Sunday. :giggle

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the replies. I'm glad I found this forum and glad to be apart of it.

I mainly collect 1:18 F1 cars (mostly Ferrari) and 1:18 gt cars. I only have a small collection of about 30 cars at the moment.
What sort of GT cars do you have? :cool1 I'm up that alley too. :happy
