Tecnomodel Mythos range

Looking for some opinions on these, how are they for detail and quality? Their new McLaren M6GT looks absolutely stunning in the photos I've seen. But I remember looking at photos of the Aston Martin DB2 and after the initial "want it
" subsided, I started noticing that it's really crude in places, especially considering the price. The window trim and grille looked very two-dimensional and I wasn't convinced by the brakes either.

So, does anyone have experience of their other models that they could share? Or better still has anyone seen the M6GT first-hand? If I pull the trigger I'll be buying blind, since I don't know of any physical stores that stock TM near me.

Thanks in advance!

I have a few of them... I think that GT Spirit does a better job with their resin models.

Thanks for the opinion. Small confession: I don't own any GTS yet, although I have recently been considering the Exige LF1...

I may well take a "wait and see" approach with the M6GT and see if I still feel the same when I've thought on it some more. From the front and side, it looks like a great model - and the bare metal sills are very nicely done - but this shot of the back (from the internet and all that) makes it look like the vents are blanked off to quite a shallow depth:

It looks nice to me, I wasn't aware of the car though so checked the prices on eBay, I think £190 + shipping is a bit too much.

I only have their Aston Martin V12 Zagato race car in plain body, I paid £130 shipped a couple of years ago, which to me is a more like it.

I'm always on the look out for the road going version which always seems to fetch £170+ on eBay. Was bidding on a lovely black one the other week!
I bid on that one too!
I have a number of their Astons.. they are nice, but again..you get better for less money with GTS.(IMO)
Cheers guys. If it had been nearer £130 I would've probably just bought it straight away, but at ~£170 with CK discount it seems pricey even considering that they've only made a small number. I'll keep my eyes open for it being reduced, think I might be unlucky though as I want the papaya orange one!

Just got the Diecast Legends newsletter, and apparently Tecnomodel are releasing four colour schemes of the Aston Martin DB3S (photos from DCL)

1954 Le Mans, Carroll Shelby/Paul Frere:

1955 Spa, Paul Frere:

1955 Le Mans, Peter Collins/Paul Frere:

1955 Sebring, Roy Salvadori/Carroll Shelby:

Obviously I'm nowhere near stupid enough to pay DCL prices, but initial impressions are good so I might well add one of those. The 2nd-place Le Mans car would pair very nicely with the winning AUTOart D-Type...

They're out now

Thanks Craig - I'd seen a few on eBay already but looks like the usual sellers have them. Unfortunately they're a bit less impressive from other angles, I don't think the price is anywhere near justified. I'll see if they end up discounted but won't be losing sleep if I miss out.

front grill is wrong and back of the car is suddenly low
Either the screws were put in too tightly or the two corpses in the boot are wearing heavy concrete boots......
Yes looks really bad.
It's not your eyes. It looks like it's been rear-ended and had a bad repair done. Mind you, it hasn't stopped the initial stocks selling out at CK Modellcars at 220 Euro each.
