Looking for some opinions on these, how are they for detail and quality? Their new McLaren M6GT looks absolutely stunning in the photos I've seen. But I remember looking at photos of the Aston Martin DB2 and after the initial "want it

" subsided, I started noticing that it's really crude in places, especially considering the price. The window trim and grille looked very two-dimensional and I wasn't convinced by the brakes either.

So, does anyone have experience of their other models that they could share? Or better still has anyone seen the M6GT first-hand? If I pull the trigger I'll be buying blind, since I don't know of any physical stores that stock TM near me.

Wow the boot area really looks off. Dang.. what happened during development phase? someone dropped the prototype model on its rear?

New: 1965 Alfa TZ2 . However, here's another example of why one should wait to see photos of a production Tecnomodel offering instead of relying on a pre-order photo:

BTW - This should be a fairly easy livery to put on an AUTOart version, add: numbers, the extra headlights assembly, a white stripe on the hood, license plate, etc.

Theres also a blue version

love the Pantera and this is a really cool version, BUT Tecnomodel models are hard to find for good prices, missed the Mangusta cause I waited too long

This company, IMO, makes the most interesting and diverse range in the industry. I love all my Tecnomodels and will certainly add at least one. Hope they are compelled to do the last series of the mid 1990's too

I dont have any Tecnomodel in my collection but they make some interesting models like you said, just cant find any deal, Its always about 250us or 205us for the less popular models

Solid grilles and the rims should be more concave. Pantera tempts me but it's not worth the price

I’ve got 2 Tecnomodels and I’m got a ho hum attitude about them, I want the Ferrari F1 246 but just can’t seem to pull the buy trigger.

I love the Porsche 550 coupe I have - you just don't see that car modeled . Looking forward to the 356's due out . They are pricey for sure .

Those 917 Spyders are pretty damn cool. I may have to add one of those. It's tough though, it's so much money for a model that is as detailed as a Spark.

Speaking of Spark, Raceland is releasing a special model of the same Zakspeed Escort (not the exact same Mampe version, but close) so I'll add that instead and save $50 or whatever the difference is.

Funnily enough, in relation to the Escort I'm going the opposite direction - switching from the Raceland special and getting the 1978 Mampe Norisring version.
I am also considering the spectacular looking 1980 Kummerling car - at a decent discount of course.
Agreed the models are no better than a regular Spark, but getting an alternative? (I don't think so).

The Tecnomodels definitely have some cooler looking liveries. I just can’t justify spending that much more for the same car/detail.

I would not be am authority on the Porsche, but I know quite a bit about those Escorts.
They are probably all be the same car in different liveries.
When Zakspeed debuted the turbo Capri at the 1978 German GP DRM support race, they decided they needed a second turbocharged car.
A second Capri was impossible before 1979 (to be driven by 1978 champion Harald Ertl) so the 'new' Escort produced part way through 1977 was upgraded.
It was driven by Armin Hahne to a best result of second place at the notorious (and prestigious) Nuremberg Norisring race (Mampe livery).

The thing with Tecnomodel is that they tend to make models of things you'll never see anyone else make.

Yes, they're a bit crude and look like RC model shells rather than having, say, Spark like quality, but 9 times out of 10 (or maybe 99 out of 100), you'll never see their models reproduced by any other manufacturer!

The 966 looks pretty decent and I'm sure there are plenty of Porsche fans who will snap up the chance to own this obscure racer, in all the liveries!
