Hi guys,

I saw the Top 5 AUTOart thread on another day, and thought what would be the top 5 most expensive AUTOart 1:18 models being sold. I'm not talking about the asking price on EBay, but the actual sold price, ideally an average value from several sold pieces of the same model, to even out some extreme bids.
By being sold, I mean from any seller, so including the inflated prices.

Without checking EBay, I would imagine these models are somewhere near the top of the list:

1 - Mercedes 600 LWB Pullman

2 - BMW M5 shadowline

3 - Mad max, first version?

4 - Mitsubishi evo Rally art

5 - Jeep Wagoneer

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cheaper ones from here on :)

- Mercedes W100 SWB

- Toyota Trueno Initial D, the first version Japanese market only (not the later versions)
(I couldn't even find a picture)

- Maybach 62 DE with leather seats

- Lexus LFA DE with carbon fiber roof

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even more cheaper ones :)

Mercedes Benz 300 SEL sedan
Mercedes Benz 190E in any form
Mercedes Benz S63 AMG, the coupes are dime a dozen but the sedans are priced sky high.
Jaguar XJ13
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6 TME or any 6 for that matter.
Koenigsegg Agera
Jaguar E-type

What do you think?

Prospectors will ask for anything they wish but I don't think anyone is really paying those silly prices. For the record, I have seen these being put up on sale without going anywhere.

The Jeep grand wagoneer is an AUTOart model that always seems to sell for crazy money.

Thanks for the inputs. Maybe it's good to have a top 3, since there are apparently quite some expensive AUTOart's nowadays.

1. Pullman
2. ?
3. ?

I think I got your question wrong but I don't really follow through the actual sale but I have lost a lot of auctions bidding on the Berlin 190E DTM cars.
Ah, that one was on sell a couple of years ago. It was like 50 euro's or so...

Hahaha. Please don't rub it in. The only models I look for on eBay are Mercedes Benz, namely the 300SEL AMG from Minichamps and the 190E cars from AUTOart. Never know when lady lucks smiles on me and helps me win one.

I'd say the Mitsubishi Evo 9 Ralliart would have to feature on this list? I know they've shot up in price, but can't actually find any sold ones on eBay to verify their true value.

List is more then good. Few weeks ago one red E28 M5 got sold for $850! And since 2010 all red M5's that would pop up on US e-bay would be sold for more then previous one. And for last 7 years I don't think more then 10 pop up so that is why prices are sooooo high on that one.
Pullman is more stable in price but equally high. I think 7-800 is sort of regular price now days for that one. I haven't see one for quite some time on auction, or for less then $1000, so might go up to $900. . . I think it is the best candidate to break $1000 price tag, but since it is not so rare on e-bay I don't think it will do it any time soon.
Dodge ~ with full right. I have no idea what people see in that model but man. . . First time I saw it on auction it went for $450 in the time when $350 was too much even for CMC.
Maybach DE shouldn't be on the list. I don't think people are ready to pay for it that much. I got my long time ago and it was when people use to look after those and I payed it circa $100. So, I really don't see it being sold fore more then $3-400. Also, there is quite a bit of versions of that car that are equally good and which lack only extended rear seats and curtains, so unless it is some show-off I really don't see any one giving crazy money for it. Similar story is with other cars on the list. If there is more then 2 color versions, I doubt it can break $500 price tag. You can always get some cheaper color variant and save quite a bit of money.

For how much does W100 SWB goes these days? I think it use to be good sale if it reaches $500.

I think you have to wonder who is buying them for these prices, no matter how much I want a Pullman, I won't give £500+ for it, that's absurd!!

I can see that a few of you mention the red E28 M5, but what about the grey E28 M5 with shadow-line? Aren't they as expensive or do they cost the same?
During last 7 years I think saw only one. I don't remember the price, but it was high. It should be bit less then red. For me red has the best color combination of all models ever made. AUTOart simply nailed it on that one.
