This 288 GTO was a birthday gift from a good friend of mine who is also a 1/18 collector.

I wasn't planning of getting one of these because I had seen the Burago version years back and was sorely disappointed with it. I figured that the Mattel version would basically be the same as the Burago, boy was I wrong!!! The Hot Wheels's version is beautiful and has to be my favorite Hot Wheels model ever. :cheers
