i have tried the tinting film used on the 1:1 for tinting a models window (my walkinshaw limo) and just a tip, it should be applied to the outside of the windows as if applied to the inside, tiny particles of dust which are inavoidable will show up like dogs ba11s and also, if trying to fit to a curved window, it is extremely hard to get it to stick without any kinks, but pulled tight enough, it should stick.

Try Detail Master -9202 in factory blue-green and also a sort of dark gray. This is a decal - I have some but have not yet tried it. It is meant to be used for window tinting.

I read an article in Scale Auto magazine, a model build - the modeler used Testor's window spray tint on the inside of the windows, then oversprayed that with chrome alcad (or maybe I have the order reversed). Anyway, it was an incredible look. Not simply a 'chromed' window. Since the black is partly 'see-through', so is the chrome partly see-through.

I have read that some modelers have tinted Future floor polish with food coloring, the dipped or sprayed the window - have not tried it myself. I would also only put this on the inside of the window, as Future is somewhat soft and might be damaged if on the outside of the window. I think it would be possible to just flood the surface, or use a soft very wide brush, then drain well. Might require several 'dips', depending upon how dark you want the tint.
