This car entered into the 1998 Le Mans. It finished 9th overall at the hands of an all-Japanese team of drivers Keiichi Tsuchiya /Ukyou Katayama /Toshio Suzuki. The sister cars #28 and #29 did not fare so well as they did not complete the race.

Gorgeous!

This was my first model (along with the AUTOart Skyline in Bayside Blue). I loved the fact that it had an all-Japanese driver team and have always loved the "lightning" livery.

I didn't realize it was the only GT-One to finish that year and it came in 9th... :cool
Thanks for the info!

Hey Eddie...I don't have either of the two sister-cars. I actually started off trying to find the #29 but no luck. On the same day I read Luciano's review of the car, I found one locally and promptly jumped on it. I think Luciano had a pretty good laugh over that! :lol

AUTOart Mercedes CLK LM #2 (not the Bye-Bye Ludwig version)
UT McLaren F1 GTR #59 Ueno Clinic
UT McLaren F1 GTR #38 FINA
UT McLaren F1 GTR #39 FINA
Minichamps BMW M3 GTR (Phoenix Yellow)

1:43
-----

Onyx Nissan R390 GT1 #32 Calsonic

I have many more race cars than road cars, which is not what I expected when I started collecting. But, the racing cars are :cool because of the liveries and specific histories.

:cheers

That's a very interesting point you mentioned about adding a little hue. Do you mean adding a little red tone to give the pictures for a "warmer" feel?

I've often debated what sort of look is better, espcially for white cars. One approach is to have a colder almost bluish look. The other is a little more red for warmth. Since I use Photoshop's automated colour balance and contrast feature, I haven't added in any hue manually.

I appreciate yout thoughts Oron. :cheers

:tongue :tongue :tongue That is amazing work Oron. I'm not sure I could figure how to do that in 5 hours let alone 5 minutes. :lol :lol Now I understand what you meant by hue. But I honestly have no idea how that sort of PS work is done. If you want to write up a tutorial to post on the forum, you are more than welcome to do so. :wink I think quite a few people, me included would appreciate it.
