It has come to the attention of the moderation team that some isolated cases of trolling have been occurring here at DX. We consider trolling to be disrespectful and disruptive behavior, and it is not tolerated in this community. Simply put, we don't feed trolls here.

What is trolling, you ask?

In internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. Some examples of trolling also include the following:

1) Trying to sell anywhere on the board other than classifieds (deals should only be struck in the Classifieds sections)
2) Offering deep discounts
3) Trying to buy or sell any type of model without any substantive posts
4) Providing links to other website(s)
5) Requesting email or other personally identifiable information
6) Sending unsolicited/suspicious PM (private messages)​

If this sort of behavior is ever exhibited by someone here at DX, please contact a member of the moderation team immediately and privately so that action can be taken. We wish to keep this community safe from trolls, so please come to us with any concern or questions regarding this topic.

There have been some rather concerning PMs floating around lately, and we are soliciting the community's help to resolve the problem.

Some people only troll on the first thursday of every month. You can take medication to reduce it's effect, but it isn't something which can be controlled completely.

We are getting a high number of new users and it's also bringing in some questionable characters so please be on your guard and point them out to us as soon as you can.

I would like to second Tony's comment and once again stress the importance of PMing a member of the moderation team immediately!
In other words, do not report trolling here or anywhere else in the public threads.

In all seriousness, you do not fit any of these qualifications.

A troll is someone who is either malicious and/or suspicious, and I don't consider you to be either of those things. So, please keep up the good work of being a positive contributor here at DX!
