Just lost my fifth UT E36 M3 GTR on ebay, this time it was a red one and it has just gone for £77.00 !!!

These models have just gone crazy

I mean, how rare are they ???

What I don't understand is that the moulds for this model are still in existance (hence the E36 M3 GTR art car that has recently been produced).

I hope the owner of the moulds cranks out some more of these models

£77 is goddamn crazy !!

Bollox !!

P.S, if anyone has a black, red or white E36 M3 GTR for sale - please let me know.

The is normal...

Unfortunatelty the more sought after UT models have skyrocketed...

UT Macs, turbo Porsches, BMW M3s...

I know another collector who has just found a red one for 110 EUR. Red is the hardest to find. Black can be found more often. Here are mine :cool

it is the same for some UT Escorts, the qualities of these mods arent that bad but the current prices just dont reflect the reality. Maybe AUTOart produce some of these highly sought after ones since they have the moulds. That s just a hope for now.

don't lose your patience. I had to pay 90 euro for the rare black Ut 911 993 turbo, the one with the calipers. I bought it from a forgotten model shop in Athens, Greece. The price for the M3 GTR is the same... :cry

£96 for a black one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jaysus !!!

The most I've ever paid for a model was £60 for a brand new Exoto 934 RSR in black, and that is a model that retails for over £130 !

These UT models originally cost £20, so there is no way I'm paying circa £100 for one.

I just hope Autoart decide to remanufacture the E36 GTR using the UT moulds.

This model shop in bangalore, India has UT gt2s and turbos painted and stuck to the panelling on the shop decor. Will burn the heart of any chap looking out for these rare gems. Check out the link below for a pic of ths shop front.

I've emailed them about stock and shipping - no response.

I don't doubt that BMW could get an order of 10,000 or whatever to be made up by whoever still has the old UT dies for the Chia cars.

It's such a nice looking model - even better looking than the e46 in my opinion.

I tried this guy 6 months ago, but he had sold out a few years back

He is one of those annoying people who refuse to update their websites in accordance with their stock

I e-mailed Autoart a few months back, asking about the possibility of remaking this model (since they own the moulds and have just done the M3 GTR art car) with a few updates (better brake detail perhaps)

They replied saying that they were considering this model, but no definative answer or time scale was given.
