I'm seeing these micro models pop up everywhere ... very very cool .. whats the deal with them? Has 1/64 scale been mass produce before or is this kinda new for the hobby and is just really popular? I really want to get one to see how they are in person.

Thanks!! 1/64th scale Premiums started with Kyosho way back in 2001..actually Minichamps in the late 90s. Also in 2001, AUTOart and Biante also started in 2001 or 2002.
