Made the big step today to give a serious amount for this gem from CMC. I couldn't resist not having it next to the #19GTO. I'm sure about the beauty of the model, let's hope it will be a good investment as well.
After a hiatus this one finally arrived today. Almost Real 964 RUF. I don't know if it's just me but this little beauty it's not getting the praise it should, because it's a shocking good looking model. That brown interior was a no brainer for me.
A brief praise for the seller: This came from a chinese seller from ebay, apart from shipping super quick after the purchase, the packaging was made very neatly and tidy, but VERY LIGHT, which is very good for cheaper shipping costs.
Another Model Car Fair means another haul for a steal:
Aston Martin DBS Concept - ERTL. Sold this one on to a friend already, always nice to help others fill a gap in their collection
Aston Martin Rapide S - AutoArt. quite cheap in a combi-deal with the DBS, I do love a red Aston.
Mazda Eunos Roadster - MiniGT. You never forget your first, so I had to grab this. The cuteness-factor is even bigger in this tiny scale.
Saab 9-5 SportCombi - DNA. Got this for an absolute steal, the prices grabbed so much attention there were 4 people around me eyeing it while I was holding it and browsing the rest of the stand.
Car trailer - OttoMobile. Not the most interesting thing in the world, but at 25,- for a fully metal trailer with on-ramps it's really good. Thinking of making a tow hook for my DBX and using it for a little diorama or display setup.
The model was 20 years ago by the British company "Original Classics".
I had never heard of them, did some research and found this interesting article at fireengines.net:
It seems the Dennis F8 was their inaugural model and they had plans to do more British fire eingines as well as police cars.
But apparently the firm was closed down before any other model had been released - soo sad...
WOW, some really NICE ADDS From Others This Week! 👏
I was celebrating my birthday this weekend (from Friday) and have just got around to opening my own models which arrived....
Nice catch!
This was a genuine Koln built car built for the 1974 DRM/ETCC (1 of 5) that Moffatt was able to get hold of because of his Ford connections.
Do you know if it's a repurposed Minichamps, and which race is it supposed to represent?
Moffatt drove it in the Macau Guia race in '75, but did not finish.
got this one last week, but has been without camera. also first model i bought this year.
Sun Star Ford Escort RS1600i. it is pretty detailed, better than i expected. on the other hand i think the finish could be improved. still a nice model though.

I'm strongly thinking about getting one of these Escorts - but rumour has it there will be a graphite coloured option.
I'll wait to see images of the model first before making my choice - it will be the red if it doesn't look good.
Agreed about the finish on many SunStars - but who else is likely to produce one of these?
Bought one of these in 1:1 earlier in the year so obviously had to get the 1:18. Similar spec to mine, the V8 Sport+ (called the Performance Pack in other markets I think) so it has the carbon fibre roof and kick plates, and moveable spoiler - which looks like it moves on the model though I've yet to try.
The only thing it's missing compared to my 1:1 is the optional HUD (no recess on the instrument binnacle) and having the steering wheel on the wrong side. There are some really nice details that I've seen already, happy to get my hands on this one.
Just bought this for delivery in a few weeks so it says. I already have the Silver 1/12 Coupe from Premium classixx
KK SCALE MODELS KKDC120095 PORSCHE 356 A SPEEDSTER - 1955 light blue 1/12.
I am a fan of Tan/Biscuit colour interiors and this is the only release that has this colour option.
After waiting and watching for a while to find someone selling it for well below list price, I sniped this new Spark 1/18th Ford GT40 from the 1964 24 Hour of Le Mans, as driven by Phil Hill and Bruce McLaren (seller pic).

Note that this (to my surprise) is one of those WERK83 models without opening doors.
I still think those that have such features are from a different source.
This is the second version by them, I didn't bother with the first one because I had the TSM already.
And of course I will paint those side air intakes matt black - this image is from the CK website.
