i have a few questions for you guys since i am new i was wondering what you guys do to your models such as change mods?
i was thinking about getting 1 of them new monaro's and do a seat swap wheel swap lower it and put sound system in it and also paint it all but was wondering if there was anyone that could help me on that e.g. how to take the seats out or lower it or change the wheels some of these questions have prolly already been asked by other members or this is prolly not in the right place but i thought i would give it a shot also if you have any pics of your finished custom like with wheel swap, paint seat change e.t.c. any chance i could get you to post the b4 and after shots?
cheers

You will need to get your replacement parts in hand first so that way you know what your working with. Seat swaps are fairly simple, wheel swaps can be tricky if they aren't compaitble, sound sytem will require finding spare parts or making them your self.

Painting is always the trickiest part the first time.

Find you a donor model and practice all of this first and see where you are at as far as skill wise.

might stay away from the monaro at this stage then what about a LH torana or vt ss?
There hasnt been any SS models released yet and the torana's wont be cheap either! unless you can find one that someones already started to mod and would sell it to you cheaply!, most aussie models are over $100 each..

Ben.... After looking for a Torana tonight on the internet (all models of Torana) are chasing upwards of AU$120!!!! That is what you will pay for them new.....

do as they have said first.... buy a YAT MING first.... Chev of some sort... they all have reasonable detail and only cost like AU$50

The guages arent easy to find and the sound system you would have to do as you said in our litle conversation earlier on Friday... Use an old headphone set for your speakers or find some photo etched sheets and cut and design your speakers

Wheels are also a pain to find cheaply and often arent held in stock at your local hobby stockist... Remember if ya buy anything over the net that your postage could be as much as half the item you are buying... Be aware of that

Hope this answers a few more questions and ask away if theres something we havent covered

got the clubsport as most of you all know and in about month time i will start moding it already made a sub box for the boot just outta cardboard and some old head phones (ones you put in your ears not the ones over your ears) they look a bit like little subs :cool if i do not buy another clubsport then i won't start moding this but im hoping to get another clubsport maybe in flame red i wanna get the vt police car and put the clubsport kit on it would look HOT :tempted
question if u unscrew the bolts for the front will anything else fall out? or will only the front bar come off?

if you undo the screws at the front only then nothing will happen... there is 6 screws under most commodore style models from biante that you need to undo to get the chassis of the body of the model

as the others have said mate.. look around for a cheep model to start with first and practice on it....
