As a new year is upon us, now is the time to start thinking about what models we'll be making under the Top Marques brand over the next 12-18 months. As you know I always like to try and involve you guys in the design and correction stages of our models, so here is your chance to offer up some suggestions of what you'd like to see from the brand in 1:18 and 1:12 scales. Feel free to make sensible suggestions of models that actually have a chance of selling in half decent numbers - this is a business after all! Please include pictures as well, so I know what you're talking about

If anything I can think of at this moment, even if it sounds like a pipe dream, here's what I'm suggesting. ALL IN 1/18 SCALE

WITH WORKABLE STEERING AND ROLLING WHEELS! Now that would rock

1978 Mclaren M26 driven by James Hunt & Patrick Tambay
1978 Ferrari 312 T3 driven by Carlos Reutemann and Gilles Villeneuve
1980 Tyrrell Ford driven by Derek Daly
1980 Alfa Romeo driven by Bruno Giacomelli
1985 Ferrari 156/85 driven by Michele Alboreto & Stefan Johansson
1985 Williams Honda driven by Nigel Mansell
2008 Sauber BMW F1.08 driven by Robert Kubica at Canada
Photos I'll post later

I agree with Arnage to an extent. Without criticising Chaim and Dave, it seems like a lot of models are shown with inaccuracies and many of those aren't fixed by the time the model is released.

If that can be sorted, then I'd like to see a Lotus Evora S in Sports Racer spec, and the SuperGT Syntium Apple Evora. Tecnomodel just released a post-facelift Evora, but there are still no early versions in 1/18. And Ebbro don't bother with GT300 cars in larger scale for some reason.

How about some TVRs too? Cerbera, Cerbera Speed 12, Tamora, T350, and Typhon.

May I suggest models with accurate shape and no QC issues. Would be a great start.
NOTHING I've seen from them in the past few years grabs me. The shape of most models is way off & they are not cheap!!! I'm going pay, say €200 I want a nice looking model. Not something that looks like it cost £40.

I'm hoping the Morgan Aero 8 finally gets released, it's been on pre order for ages.
Also hoping the rear wheel size and width of the Noble M600 gets addressed before shipping.

Cars I'd like in 1/18th:

- Alfa Romeo 8C
- Maserati Birdcage 75[sup]th[/sup] concept (2005)
- Mazda Furai concept
- Spyker C8 Laviolette
- Pininfarini Ferrari P4/5 (2006)
- MG SVR

I can't believe nobody that I know of has ever made a quality model of these yet.

MR did the Alfa Romeo 8C, one of the first cars they ever made.

Someone did the P4/5 too, but they are very hard to find. I can't remember the maker, just that it had 43 in it.

Kudos on you mentioning the Spyker. It's a shame that no 1/18 manufacturer has given the world a Spyker model of any kind. Especially with opening parts like the less memorable Gumpert Apollo by Autoart

It was BMA... and yes, very hard to find! Would love a 1/12 version if done accurately. Also, would love Top Marques to beat Ottomobile to the punch and make a 1/12 Bmw E92 M3 in atlantis blue for the Bmw fanbois! (Already have the e30, e36, and e46 m3's in 1/12)

I forgot about the MR 8C, but would never consider a closed resin model at the price they charged for them, I still think a quality 8C is missing from the £150-200 price range.

I did vaguely think someone may have done the P4/5 but thought they were very limited in numbers so thought it was worth requesting.

I've always wondered if the reason Spykers haven't been replicated is because of the reputation they had for the quality of their interiors and model manufacturers not believing they could do them justice, possibly also why we haven't seen more road going Zondas? I might just be thinking into it too much though.
Opening parts would be ideal or at the very least a removable roof to see that interior.
