Since I am a fairly new user here, and only an occasional poster , I likely will never reach the required level of posts/time to sell here. Due to age and hopefully a move overseas, I really need to thin down my collection. The local sales, like Facebook Marketplace gets buyers who want to offer a couple of dollars on expensive models. I no longer use eBay, so what is a popular choice for sales. Happy New Year to everyone.

I would personally use eBay. As has been said, your userbase is the whole world. As a recent model buyer, I've bought them Poland, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and the US.
I've only sold a handful of 1/24 plastic models, but I've sold thousands of other things. I would take closeup photos of any flaws, no matter how small. Also it's better to understate, rather than overstate. I'd also include a disclaimer:
"Please note that this model car is vintage and may show signs of age-related wear, including paint rash. If you do not accept that the model may have such wear, please do not bid. The model is being sold as is."
Ebay does almost always side with the buyer, so as a seller, I try very hard to give the buyer as little as possible to complain about.
