What is a good platform to sell model cars on?

I use kijiji and facebook marketplace, it just takes patience. And don't use ebay to figure out prices, that's a common mistake. So could be that your listed prices are just too high. There are a couple of facebook groups as well. 1/18 Canadian Collectors and 1/18 and 1/12 Buy/Sell/Trade International. If you didn't get the price you wanted on ebay though, forget about getting it anywhere else.

I used to get a complaining buyer once in a while but ever since I tweaked my settings in terms of which buyers are allowed to bid/buy my listings, the problems are slim to none. Sure you'll still get a picky buyer here and there, and damage during shipping, but over a few hundred sales on ebay vs local, the extra money is in the thousands

Can you fill us in on what you do to your settings to help avoid grifters?
I think I could trawl through the terms and achieve the same ends, but shortcuts are always welcome..... (y)
I did this years ago, so if memory serves, I simply restricted bidders from certain countries and also ones with a feedback score of below a certain number (10 I think?)

Or do you mean to refer to the sold listings rather than the asking price?
Yes but with exceptions. If a model sells for $500 cad in europe, doesn't mean it'll sell for $500 in canada because 1. European buyers don't wanna pay shipping or duties. 2. A person in europe paying €300 for a model is the same as you paying $300 CAD for it here, even though the currencies are different. It's the same from a cost of living point of view. Someone who gets paid $2000 here, pays $1000 for rent and $200 for a model is the same as someone in europe getting paid €2000, paying €1000 for rent and €200 for a model etc. But we see that price difference and we think we're sitting on a gold mine when a lot of it is unfortunately not the case.
