When painting wheels, do you guys also use paint remover or sand the paint off, then prime and paint, or do u guys just prime and paint right away?

If the wheels are easy to sand, which is very rare, I will take the time to sand them. Other wise a nice coat of primer and then a couple coats of paint should suffice. Depending on the wheel I will also lay a coat of clear.
