This crazy thing,

I have a GT-R from Minichamps in Green, I heard that it was made by Almost Real. But I don't know if Minichamps will make this car.
I'm left with Norev, good old opening diecast, which looks ok, but not so great. Looks better once a few mods have been done. Not that cheap to buy.
Or the GT Spirit car, sealed resin, which I am ok with. Looks nicer (to me) and is cheaper than Norev's.

I think I'm yet to see pictures of the GT Spirit car on here.

I've seen a few side-by-side reviews and looked at many photos. I really want one.

The Norev is decidedly more accurate. But, the GT Spirit is the better model. Makes sense?

The Norev gets the shape and small details right while GTS does not. The carbon details are not great, but they are there when GTS did not even try. But, the GTS looks better. The paint, wheels & tires, and stance is much better.

Neither get it right. For now, GTS is the one I would get. But, I am holding out for something from Almost Real or AA.

Aaaaah, just the picture alone of that thing shook my living room.

Diecast society has had a review of the Norev up for a while:

The Norev's engine detail looks to be a let-down. Not sure which one I'd pick if I had to choose. If I could snag the Norev from a dealer for super cheap, maybe. Outside of price, shelf presence, exterior and stance matter most to me - even at the cost of accuracy; so I'd be more inclined to the GTS as preisman.

Here's a quick video from ck-modelcars of the GTS if that helps

Otherwise, it'd be interesting to see what Almost Real and AA would do. I'd expect better interior details, better engine details and nicer feel in the hands from Almost Real. AA would have more finesse in the shape and stance, but would probably be the most expensive of the bunch. I wouldn't expect to see anything from either manufacturer any time soon, however. Almost Real has been a bit quiet lately too, no?

Perhaps pray that LCD makes one :D

I realised last night that I can't see the DA reviews etc as it's a closed group and I'm not on there! :(

I did read the DS comments though, I've never found a dealer offer the models that cheap! Some of the one I've spoken to in the past seemed surprised at the cost of their models.

I will keep looking as I want to get one, I will probably be going GT Spirit.
