Interesting idea Thomas! I like the auto part theme with the gearbox component in the background. I think perhaps your background needs to be a bit brighter though. Worth either adding extra light or trying a lighter colour.

One downside though I've found to having anything other than a plain background is that extra background detail eats up memory, and you can run up against the 60KB limit very easily. Hence you have to reduce image quality further to bring it under the limit and this means you have a less sharp, less detailed picture of the car. :cheers

It's a good idea. The only thing is that you can't make it more important then the primary object you are photographing. So maybe you should do it but with a little less lighting for the secondary object, or maybe even keeping it a little out of focus. It's quite hard to do, since you will have two objects to worry about lighting and focus. But properly done the result is fantastic.

Thanks for the feedback men !!

I will try to put more objects to see the difference.

Luciano, for the light it will be very difficult !

I think it's a great idea, Thomas. :nicejob :nicejob :nicejob

It's probably going to be more time consuming setting everything up, but I'm certain it will make the shot more interesting and adds character.

Some good examples would be the figures & diecasts we have witnessed recently from Louis & Mr. Vercetti. :cheers

However, I didn't take time to place this things correctly nor lighting them properly. It was just for a quick test.

But it is true that often only one detail is sufficient like Gary (gundam40) and his Potato !!
