You cited AUTOart. What about their Motorsports line, that are cheaper to make because they're less detailed (the friggin' things are sealed bricks!) but AUTOart charges almost the same as a regular model with opening features. Do they care about the buyer?

No they don't. They don't give a rotten fig what their buyers think, as long as the buyers are buying. And they must be, because AUTOart continues to produce those sealed turds, so it must be profitable.

If you think anyone in this business cares about what you think you're in for a lot of disappointment. :cheers

I would really like to know which "other" (others?) company has the collector's well being as their prime concern. In five years of collecting I haven't seen ONE company that would not cut corners at one point or another just to save money or maximize profits.

And no, nobody is "forced to buy" anything in this hobby. This is not food, medicine or air. People buy because they want to. Some compromise more then others, and that's the BIG difference.

It's the same as putting a Mattel and CMC model in the same comparison.

Though as companies they're the same thing, as are Honda and Bentley.
