What has been your best diecast purchase ever? Did you ever have an unbelievable trade? Thought it was a good idea to post a thread on this.

My best bargains ever must have been the Kyosho 512 Bburago and 308 QV for 15 Euro per piece. They lost their mirrors but still it was a hell of a deal. :happy

I also once bought a AUTOart Lotus Esprit Type 79 for only 17,50 Euro brand new in box. :giggle

My Exoto Porsche 935 Testcar new for 55,- Euro ain't one to forget either... :danbana

Wonder what you guys have caught! :cheers

Whoops, 550 was 55 :lol

hmm... BEst deal ever?
probably a combo of the UT Porsche GT2 EVO STREET, M3 GTR and Mclaren F1 Street car for about SGD$150...so makes it about SGD$50 each...

i sold off the EVO Street sometime later.....a slight tinge of regret...but i got a good amount of $$$ for it.... so no worries.....

i also got a nice black Mclaren F1 GTR Longtail Prototype for about SGD$70 and the FINA Longtails for SGD$90 each.... Great price considering how much they go for online.... i seem to have a nice knack for finding UT Macs :p

I have run across so many good deals that I hate to even list them :giggle
A few....
A whole bunch of Maisto CLK DTM and GTR for $8 apiece brand new in the box.
AUTOart Mitsu Evo VI for $18
I have never paid more than $130 for an Exoto and most were in the $100 range
AUTOart GT3R for free
Minichamps Pink Pig for $60
Minichamps Porsche 904 for $30
A Maisto "Last C4" for $20
UT Mac #59 with a broken door hinge deliverd in a perfect box for $22
The hunt for a good deal is as much fun as getting the car for me :cheers

Like Jeff, to me the "hunt" is just as fun as the "kill" and I have had some great deals.

The one that comes to mind is the time I went to Sam's after Christmas to see what was marked down. They had just dicovered a few cases of unopened stuff and the manager did not want put them out. I overheard the conversation between the manager and the clerk and I told him that if he made me a deal on them that I would take the loose/broken one that were left. He said $100 and they are all yours. I ended up with about 50 Maistos with about 8 being only good for parts cars. I gave away most of them to my son's friends, clients and toy drives, but several Y2K Cobras and Vettes were used as wheel donors. Not a bad deal for about $2 each!
