I think some of the chassis mentioned still haven't been produced, like the 956, 250 LM and 2J, and I'm not sure about the 2D. Also the C9 was only available as a set with the complete car, it's actually the only one I have

 

The CMC Maserati Birdcage even comes as a space frame version. So you can have a mini production line on display if you wanted to.

 

My CMC Maserati Birdcage rolling chassis arrived today! , I got it from a fellow collector on Scale18, I have it sitting next to the actual car, and the space frame version. The assembly line will soon be complete, I have the engine on Preorder. All four items will eventually look great together.

I made my sharknose Exoto Cmc rollong chassis xD

and chaparral 2F rolling chassis

 

I don't like some of Exoto's rolling chassis cause it still has the cockpit bodywork on. No additional detail is exposed. I have the Chaparral 2E and it's stupid. Half the bodywork is still on the car!

 

I take advantage of 2F had broken parts in the body of the nose

exoto,depends the sauber C9 you can quit all body

 

yes, see that's a proper one. Some of them are good, some just models without the front and engine panels

 

This thread does remind of me how great the details are on these model though!

I think it would work even better if you took the nose cone and the side panels off.
