Just discovered the Miniwerks web page. I'm frightfully covetous of some of their subject matter:

The Alfa Romeo Carabo:

A Bertone prototype of the EB110, though not my favorite one:

The Hispano-Suiza HS21 (not the one that's available in 1:18):

My two favorite Vectors:

And finally, the stunningly beautiful VW W12 Nardo roadster:

The Vector and Nardo roadsters are cars I would sell half my collection to get in 1:18. (No, the Nardo coupe doesn't do it for me.)

But then I look at the prices. $300. $350. And I think to myself, "These things have no opening parts, and they're tiny." Sigh...

The Alfa Romeo Tipo 33s in all their incarnations is for me the biggest gap in the 1/43 vs 1/18 market. I would buy virtually all of the various concept cars and racers.

Sadly there is also a wealth of prototype Ferraris that haven't been subjected to the 1/18 treatment either.

Those two Vectors are absolutely stunning - far more captivating than the W8.

Whilst it is great looking at Andy's 'Scalani' and Jinx's 1/43 collections I have no desire to switch scales.

From that list, I would most like in my 1:18 collection:

Mitsubishi HSR I 1987 - my favorite HSR

Vector Avtech WX3 Concept 1992 Blue - as much as I love my W8, I wish I had any other Vector's in my collection. But my favorite Vector and one of my all time favorite cars is the Vector M12, which I would rather have than the W8 even. Love the blue color on the WX3.

Hispano Suiza HS21 2004 2000 Light Pearl Blue - first of all, the original HS21 is from 2000, not 2004, so this website is wrong. I have long wanted the original HS21 to go with my HS21-GTS, which was an upgraded HS21, although the HS21 looks way more like the Veyron. Would love it in that light blue color, but they also made a dark blue one for shows.

2004 Dilip Chhabria GO Yellow - DC is an Indian design firm with some really cool looking concept cars, the GO is my favorite, hopefully it can be India's first production supercar.

Lotus M250 1999 Blue - love the Lotus M250, wish it would have seen production.

That is pretty much it, there are a lot of other supercars I would like to see bumped up from 1:43 to 1:18, but those are made by LookSmart and companies like that.

There is just sooo many cars in 1/43 that I would like in 1/18 scale. Manufacturers should have a policy of making 1/18 models of cars if they get requested by customers more than 5-10 times. That would save the marketing department lots of time and effort, not to mention satisfy the urge of collectors lol.

Honestly - none of them

I'm happy in both scales - if it comes it 1/18 great, if it comes in 1/43 great

No need to switch scales - i just collect both
