Beautiful F430 there!

The BBR 430 certainly isn't perfect and, frankly, some of the faults that are on this model is just not right for the price. But then, my favourite model in my collection is the BBR F430. Lol.

Just wish they would've done a Yellow version (coupe and spider) and a Rosso Corsa Spider with the 5-spoke rims.

Anyway, congrats on finally receiving your model after one month.

 

The detail is spectacular, especially the interior. Really really nice. If BBR makes a supercar I really like, I will have to get it to see the details for myself. At the moment, I can't justify spending a few hundred on a BBR.

 

Yes, detail is excellent. It is a shame about the quality control though. Still a very nice model.

Now what do I buy next? Hmm...

 

I think it's cracking & I love BBR's items, but am surprised about the little problems you've mentioned, for the money I'd expect it to be perfect (I know that a lot of people will say 'good luck with that') but we're talking about a decent piece here!!

C'mon, even the real ones that cost a lot more are not perfect, they catch fire and cost a lot more to maintain.

Congrats Hermz, it really is beautiful. Interesting though, if those problems were on the $65 Hot Wheels Elite 430 or 458 there'd be a huge uproar from a number of members.

 

All I can say is, having both, I really wish I had never purchased both. Reason why? Well, the BBR shows where the Hot Wheels lacks. I have my Hot Wheels on display ALONE at the moment and without the BBR overshadowing it, it's great. It's only until they're side by side do I think the HotWheels is not so great. I'd LOVE to have more BBR's but the cost and chance of not so perfect quality are a bit of a gamble.

Even with nearly the same issues as Hermz, I don't regret my BBR purchase either. They are the best example of the F430.

 

I have no doubt that I'll end up getting more from BBR in the future just because the overall accuracy and level of detail is so good. It is a shame that they can't improve their QC given the price point. If/when they release an F430 Scuderia I'll just have to get one!

 

I can't believe you have the hood problem too! Mine has been like that since I got it from the original release. I have to keep pushing it down to find the sweet spot and not move the car. The second I touch the model, it pops back up. I want to take the model apart one of these days to take the mechanism out without ripping it, but don't have a lot of desire to take it apart right now.

 

I'm not sure if I should find the fact you have the same problem relieving or disheartening, hahah.

Well it didn't cost $400 when it was released and I don't think it would cost that much now. You can easily get the BBR 430 for less than that. I got the White 430 for around $270 and that was only a year ago. Lol.

No, the white one was a limited edition for Japan thus they came out super expensive and at the moment if you can find one they cost ALOT.

Are you referring to the ride-height at the front? That was mentioned in my first post. It's a common issue with these models, although the gap on mine is nowhere near as bad as some I've seen. It's fixed easily enough anyway.

 

Nice looking model!!! I've been looking to get one as the 430 is one of my favorites right behind the 458. And as far as the QC problems, well they might be undermaned or doing spot checks only, :shrug: that's how we do it at work, spot checks every lot of 10, 2 get checked.
