No, I don't want one...I don't find the car attractive at all, and the model looks mediocre at best. That engine in a Maisto would draw well-deserved criticism.

They are not his photos. Some other lucky bastard has got one.

The engine is woefull and the solid front grill sucks and the shutlines look a bit too wide, but that interior looks nice, as does the exterior and the headlights.

 

i want it after seeing and hearing it in action.

I get the idea that if this was a Hot Wheels or a Maisto that people would be proclaiming that they won't buy it because they are waiting for AUTOart to make one.
Yet because its an upper priced model somehow its ok.

I've seen it "in flesh" 3 weeks ago at the Montreal Auto Show and it is an amazing looking car!!! Took about 20 pictures of it!

To be honest it sounds like something's wrong with the engine.

Especially those virtual misfirings sounds a bit too overdone to me.

Maybe it's funny in the first few minutes but imagine you have to hear that long run...

 

I would very much like to have one. Not this particular Minichamps diecast though - it's absolutely disgusting. I'll wait and hope that some manufacturer with a taste for more detail and some nice materials release this one.

 

I heard Premium Classixxs was going to do a high end 1/18, but this source is like 50/50.

Where did you guys hear red was announced?

The three DE colors thus far are black, iridium silver, Magno Sylvanite Gray Designo. (Matte gray)

AFAIK, Hobby colors were not announced.

 

Someone here said the hobby colours would be black, silver and red. Can't remember who it was that said it though.

I saw the SLS at the Detroit show a couple weeks ago...it was my favorite car in the show. It looks 10x better in person.

Looking forward to getting a model of one. I'd love to see Maisto's version, though. I'd be perfectly happy with theirs if it was well done.

 

On these pictures it looks pretty good, nice carbion fibre detailing under the hood. I ordered mine yesterday and should receive it by the end of February. Can't wait till it gets here, I'll see if I can post some pics then.

Well, it certainly looks different. Reckon it's going to be another 'you either love it or hate it' cars.

Whilst the detailing on the model is 'not bad', it ain't worth the retail as is their previous Mercs.
