In the late 1990s, TVR had very ambitious plans to turn the Cerbera into a GT1 racer, and with a homologated, street legal supercar that would have been one of the fastest cars in the world. The plan went through changes in development and then eventually died out with the later stage Cerbera Speed 12, but the first incarnation was in 1997 as the Speed 12. The Speed 12 was painted in TVR's purple-blue chameleon paint and shown at the British International Motor Show (photo).
Hot Wheels made this model of the Speed 12 many years ago, I added this pink one last year. For a 20+ year old budget model, I'd say that it holds up very well, in fact this is one of the best non-Elite Hot Wheels. They made an accurate and striking looking model of a car that there are barely even pictures of. It doesn't have door handles, so a cool working feature is, right under the door, there's a spring-loaded pedal that you press to open it. It‘d be awesome if someone makes a good quality Cerbera Speed 12 in 1:18, but either way, I will be keeping this... it's a great supercar budget model.
