And to add detail on the RS500 above, Moffat brought his car along with Eggenberger and his crew (along with driver Klaus Neidzweidz) to Japan for the prestigious Fuji Intertec event.
This was the biggest touring race of the Japanese AJTCC season.
Footage (Japanese audio - but you get the message!).

I think this was Allan Moffats' last race win. Fantastic driver who has had a huge influence on Australian touring car racing culture (from blowing everyone away in his very rare Trans-Am Mustang, to legendary Falcon GTHO's and GT Coupes, Mazda RX7 Group C's and the Sierras like this one). This model looks pretty sharp, should still be available on pre-order from Biante stockists around Australia as it was only notified a couple of days ago.

Thanks, but already sold out there.
It won't be. They probably just put that until it's in stock. When I was looking at pre ordering an Apex Repicas NSW Police car, most website said it was sold out, but when it was released it said it was available.

I get mine from Motorsport Superstore.

I'm fascinated by the interest in this RS500 model.
There was almost no mention of his race win at the time, I know because I was a big fan of Australian group A racing (it used to be shown on the much missed Screensport channel).
I only found out about it through a few lines in the Autosport magazine that used to exist before being bought out, and the introduction of F1 coverage fixation.
The race certainly didn't seem to have had any footage shown in Australia - at least that I know of.....

It says they are pre-orders. Hmm, I may have to buy one and see what happens.

I didn't notice any reference to being pre-orders.
If you tick the box marked 'en stock' nothing changes.
I ordered two Falcons, and the invoice arrived very soon after.
It will be interesting to see what happens.
Are you being redirected to Five Diecast?

I asked Little Bolide if they would be getting any more Biante products.
The reply linked only those items already listed.
No details about the future, but no denial either.
Fingers crossed - if at least some of these models sell quickly perhaps that will encourage them.
Of course the fact that there are only really two choices - one Ford Falcon and two variations of the Holden Commodore to choose from......

I don't recall the Ford Sierra RS 500 in post number 39 ever being released. The picture has gone now, but I was checking eBay a lot since I heard about it and a few Australian websites and never saw it.

There is one that I don't have that came out a few years ago, the Blue Peter Jackson Sandown 500 car. I didn't buy it when it was released as I wasn't that keen on it. I only saw one for sale recently & it went for a crazy amount of money!

The version of the RS500 which represented the last race win by Allan Moffat was not intended to be released by Biante.
I bought the Carlectables 1988 Sandown 500 winner, and was disappointed by a number of shortcomings.
The headlight bowls are a joke - worse than what you would see on a bBurago from 40 years ago.
The roll cage doesn't fit inside the car the way it should, with the sides along the doors being visible - which they should not.
Anyone who complains about a Minichamps RS500 should get a look at one of these Carlectables efforts.
I get the feeling others have made similar complaints, and that either it has been scrapped or is to be re-engineered.

Fascinating to see how few of the original selection that Little Bolide had are still available.
I would imagine few have made the trip back to Australia, meaning the majority were sold elsewhere.
Biante told me some years back that their own range was very OZ/NZ focused, and that they didn't see any market interest outside the region.
I wonder if the recent sales from a European retailer will change their approach?
