@jazzy426

Super / hypercar only it appears (minus the Bronco)?
Yea the selection seems somewhat poor this time round. Plenty of hypercars but no classic muscle cars as far as i can tell. In the past it has always been a healthy mix of modern hypercars, one or two Euros/japanese and couple of your good old classic Mustangs, Camaro, Belair, GTO in various wild colours.

I went to my local one yesterday and they had none.

I'm trying to get the Cheyenne (even if it is terrible) and another 1970 Mustang as mine's missing its front bumper. See what happens.

This was what’s available in Aberdeen about an hour or so ago

The gold Firebird Trans-am looks neat. ive sold all my american muscle car models bought from Costco in the recent months but if the gold one is available at my local Costco i might pick that up. It would appears the distribution of these Maisto models around the world appear to be inconsistent and completely random nowadays. i can no longer anticipate the model selection appearing at other stores would be the same as what i can expect at my local branch.

@Neilyp81 i presume the 13.99 is in British pound? which price do you pay is that with VAT applied or just 13.99?

Last year itself I had a feeling that maisto might make the gold Firebird. I am looking forward to buying it.
Luckily I didn't buy the black one.
Agreed. Depending on the stock at the store I might grab a few more for kicks. The boomers love their T/As and with new colors I could likely make a few bucks back. Sam's Club has a red variant with gold wheels.

As @Zubwithcars has said, the £13.99 is without VAT. When VAT is added each car costs £16.78 which is still a great price for cars of that size and detail

@Neilyp81

ah thanks guys for the clarification. So i guess everyone pays the VAT price right and the pre-VAT amount that is being shown so prominantly is mainly just for show? I would imagine anyone who wants the pre-VAT price could only claim back the difference at the border before leaving UK.

OH MY GOD I NEED TO GO THERE ASAP!
Exact same disappointing selection in Thurrock today. I want nothing newer than 1995 though, to be fair - endless modern Lambos and Porsches bore me - give me an F40, originial Countach or De Tomaso Pantera, or at least some more late 60s early 70s americana - was really hoping for a Dodge Charger, a Nova or a Chevelle.

Honestly I could do with that 992.2 and the SLS + the Valkyrie that i missed last year but I completely agree with you.

Almost mid-October and still nada for me. They've got the F1 cars.

BJs has gotten back into the 1/18 game, but their selection is small. A few Lambos, the 911 targa and GT3 and then a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 67 Mustang, the Bandit colored T/A and C2 Corvette. I got the Rubicon and C2 to tinker with, but they're also $5.00 more this year.

I'll keep checking Costco as that gold T/A is pretty and the Cheyenne is calling to me.

EDIT: My friend's Costco had the told T/A this morning and I went to a further away Costco and bought a few cars including the Cheyenne. Call that a win.

i am not sure if the distribution method has changed somewhat this year onward. I used to be able to tell what are the new incoming models based on what other global Costco stores received but things appear to be completely random this year onward. I see certain stores reported for having the Alfa Giulia, 992 Targa etc but those never show up at my local branch. The latest arrival from July shipment all appear to be just modern super/hyper cars. ANd yes there are plenty of F1 cars I hope they are not slowly replacing the tradtional Maistos with these in coming years.
