umm after i re-read the presentation slide from that photo it doesnt appear to say anything about those upcoming releases being in 1/18. There is no mention of the scale so maybe it makes sense to bit skeptical and not dancing with joy just yet... But in the past AR seems to always release 1/64 alongside with 1/18 so there is hope afterall? But i think i likely to disagree with the pricetag for sure 😆

By the way those 1/64 AR BMWs look brilliant! I only have one 1/64 AR model and the model is jam-packed with details.

Those are too tiny for me.....I don't have small hands.
indeed they are tiny. I love like the idea of these ultra detailed 1/64s but they can be bit too tiny for any shelf presence and i would avoid touching them at all so i dont accidentally break any fragile bit on them. Worse my eyesight has somewhat deteriorate slightly due to age and i actually need magnifying glass and strong direct light to admire some of the details on these tiny beauties. I got a Tarmac works Lexus LS not long ago and the Lexus emblem looks like an unrecognisable blob until i use the iphone camera zoom function. Only then i could see the Lexus emblem clearly.

Me, no longer dancing with joy:

AR already released a handful of 1/64 BMWs, including a box for BMW dealers btw:

Some of them are really nice, some a bit dorky. I keep my fingers crossed for the 1/18s. I'd kill for a great 1/18 E38. The 1/64 is... ahem... make your own judgement: :D

@pdc ah yes i went and searched for Almost Real BMW and that led me to the above YT video as well. The dealer boxset featured there looks awesome. Would be even more awesome if they are 1/18 although i suspect i might have troubles bringing the entire package through my front door LOL

let's not get too hung up on the brown turd looking thing (mind i say polished) sitting on the centre console eh. 😆 as long as they get the exterior right i think that is all that matters on a 1/64 hehe

You and me both brotato. As much as 1/64 and 1/43 sit pretty.....the fact I have to pull out a magnifying glass horrifies me to the Nth degree.

GIVE ME LARGE 1:18.....

they do sit pretty and someone of them even come in fancy packaging like sitting on leather looking base and so on. but if any of those intricate bits fall off it will be a real b!atch to reattach. Two of the DCM Mercedes W100 Pullman i received a while ago all have loose wipers and it was near impossible for me to reattach them. Even with the right tweezer my trembling hands didnt help but i managed to glue them back at the end.

I got the 2nd and 3rd gen Toyota Century in 1/64 and they are absolutely gorgeous looking. But somehow they are not big enough to scratch my itch and im still longing for the 1/18 version of them. It is almost the same feeling as you get a taste of free food sample at your local supermarket and that makes you want more.
