Seems like this will be available for pre-order... "soon". No prices yet announced, but from these samples, it's not looking bad.

Also... Purple??? I assume these are colours from current McLaren F1 customer cars.

Yeah... Gotta be honest, it really doesn't fit with the car's identity.

Magnesium Silver, British Racing Green and Papaya Orange are still the top colours for me. Already have the AA's Magnesium Silver. If this model comes out to be as good as it, I'll buy the British Racing Green version (color of the car that was used to break the top speed record back in the day), and I know it will be available because I've seen a sample of it already circling around.
Not sure if they will release any Papaya Orange, but they should.

Yeah the purple is a ... questionable choice
The blue is the colour of an actual F1 according to Exclusive Car Registry.

I was looking for a purple F1, and the only one there is the one formerly owned by George Harrison. That purple is not as vivid as what is shown here. There's also this one, but it, too, is too dark.

mold really does look close to the autoart one
Interestingly, the panels for the side storage compartments have magnet placements that are almost identical to those on the AUTOart.

George Harrison's one seems to be quite a bright shade of Purple under bright lights. Otherwise it's a Dark Purple colour, the model isn't a replica of that car though as it has a lot of one off touches.

An actual Bright Purple one doesn't seem to exist. I may be wrong though, but I only found it on Forza.

Still can't believe AA has sat on their hands with this one hitting $1000 regularly. Meanwhile they're working on the 453rd version of the R34, they should cover every single one made at some point. An army of Challengers too. If I were at AA the F1, 930's, Countachs, and 635's would be in perpetual production. Heck would of done the Grand Wagoneer over, but we needed Jukes I guess.

I think I got my white F1 back in the day for $180ish... I wonder if you can see through the dash speaker grilles on this new one. I'd go for a volcano orange one. Curious if better pictures would show if they fixed up the headlights.

The bling wheels, if you spray them with lacquer clear matte, they would tone down to the proper color.

Glad someone had the stones to say this.

I'm holding out judgment until I see better pictures, but from these I'm seeing the same problems as when they showed it last year, the overly chromed rims. And on the silver and blue ones, the suspension looks collapsed, and the front wheel wells look weird.

I like the frozen blue color more than any of the colors Autoart made it in. But unless they improve the finished product, I'll still want the Autoart more, even pay extra for it if I have to. Autoart has definitely been focusing on the markets in China and Japan the past few years, that explains all of the Skylines and etc. But a rerelease of the F1 would sell out everywhere, it seems like a no brainer.

From those closer pics, the car overall is pretty fine, but the shut-lines are quite open.

It's still a prototype, but the AA still does look like the grail of road car Mclaren F1s. Although if they do sell this car for anywhere between 200-300 like their usual products are, it's a pretty nice price.

Also wanted to post here that MakeUp is going to also release a McLaren F1, but it's a resin, and... for the usual over the top prices for these resin cars, over 450€ I hear. However, it does look insanely good:

XP5 was a 'real' BRG, meaning reeeally dark, flat green with little to no metallic flake that looks pretty dull in most lighting conditions:

I checked F1registry to see if there were any interesting colors produced and F1 has to be the single most boring car of all time in this regard. Dealer stock car lot variety :ROFLMAO: I like the purple, might not be best for this particular body shape but at least it makes this legendary supercar look the part. I'm rooting for macca orange.

I can't believe anyone still cares at this point. If Aa won't release something I'm interested in then I'm happy to hand my money to LCD, Almost Real, Motorhelix or whoever else will. If they're willing to make them out of metal, even better. And bear in mind we may not need an army of Challengers but they do need a steady revenue stream from OEMs. Sure it would be nice to see their greatest hits on the shelves again, but judging from their release schedule and subject matter, they might not have enough money for development and they've locked themselves out of updates and re-releases by going plastic :/

I think they produced it in quite a lot of nice colours :) Sure, some are boring, but some aren't.
