Two years ago I posted in this General Discussions thread about Hot Toys' 1/6th "Back to the Future" Delorean and there was a lot of interest, even though its price (in the low $800s) and niche nature meant no DX'er admitted to actually considering buying one:

Now Blitzways has announced its upcoming release of its own 1/6th Delorean, this time based upon the BTTF II version and, to be blunt, it promises to blow the Hot Toys release out of the water.

I'm not going to waste time listing all its features; instead, I'll just post their announcement video (less than a minute-and-a-half long) and let you discover its spectacular capabilities:

Of course, all those features (several of which operate automatically once triggered) mean a higher price, but at $999 USD, it's less than those additions might imply. There is a $100 deposit but orders by April 19th, 2025, earn three bonus items - a scale hover board (like the one Michael J. Fox "rode" in the movie) which doubles as the control for the automated features mentioned, and two license places, one in titanium (don't know if it's really that material) and one displaying the classic "OUTATIME".

Here is a (p)review too:

I am the target buyer for this and I do absolutely love it. It’s just about 100% more than I could spend right now, independent of space where I know I couldn’t fit it.

I have the 1/87, 1/64, 1/18, 1/15 and 1/10 versions but dropping a grand on that right now would simply be unwise.

That said, I absolutely love it (and my love of the film is why I just bought a pair of BTTF Toyotas)

Hey Red! I am looking forwards to seeing this one! I have seen the Hot Toys one, as we often go to a store that we order our Hot Toys from. This thing must be epic!!! Thanks for sharing! :D 🥂 🥂

Will there be a display case offered for this model? with all the mechanicals exposed dusting that would be nightmare.
Excellent point, but sadly, no. Looks like any takers will also have to factor in the cost of purchasing a huge acrylic case somewhere - or doing a LOT of regular dusting!

Wow, looks great!!! 1k is a big spend, but looks like a great model and good value for what you get. Looking forward to seeing some customer photos and reviews. It's the kind of model that sells out fairly quickly!
Yep. A quick check on YouTube shows a LOT of interest and posts reporting its release but few actual reviews in addition to the one I linked to in my original post above.
