Suggestions for OttOmobile

Ottomobile is a company that produces resin replicas of cars in 1:18 scale (and some in 1:12).
They have their unique subject matter. Mostly French cars which least likely will be replicated in metal although lately they have been making many VAG cars. Also their price and distribution policy is quite democratic unlike other resin model manufacturers.

I have some suggestions for them.

We want more crazy French cars from Otto:

Citroen DS from the French movie "Fantomas"

Image

Citroen DS. Unique car made for Michelin to test tyres. Otto is going to release Tyre Test Car based on Citroen SM so this would be logical

Image

Matra Djet. Otto already made one or two Matra models. This model is famous for being gifted as a present to Yuri Gagarin by French government (well at least in former USSR countries).

Since Otto is heavily stuck on VW Golf right now they can come up wit this:

VW Golf GTI W12 show car made for Worthersee VW Meeting in 2007.

We have only one or two models in 1:18 that represent legendary cars raced at Pikes Peak Hill Climb made by Solido and they are rather toys. I would prefer these cars made in die-cast with good detalization but I don't think any manufacturer is going to make it anytime soon.

Audi S1 Pikes Peak which was driven by the most successful woman in rally Michele Mouton.

Peugeot 205 T16 Pikes Peak.

Peugeot 405 T16 Pikes Peak. "Climb Dance" (pay attention to the second comment on the video!)

Also I think that it would be amazing if Otto put their attention towards Turin:

Image

Fiat 126. National car of Poland if I'm not mistaken. Cute

Image

Autobianchi A112 Abarth. This car has many fans over Italy and even Europe.

Image

Fiat Ritmo 125 Abarth. Developed in late 70's this hot hatch does 0-100 in less than 9 seconds. Quite impressive considering that Fiat 500 Abarth and Fiat Grande Punto/Punto Evo Abarth improved it only by 1 sec despite being developed almost 30 years later.

I wouldn't buy the all the models if they decide to release them but I am sure some people are waiting for them.

I'd buy a Golf W12 from them. I'd quite like a Lotus Carlton (Omega) from them. These were good for 175 mph back in 1993

It's quite similar yeah, I think those cars are a kitted up GSi 3000 - the Lotus Carlton is a twin turbo 3.6 litre.

As a OTTO fanatic - I love that they are making cars that other manufactures don't ...

I can give you plenty of examples... ...Matra and Venturi Cars , some Alpine models - like the Alpine A 310 Rallycar, the Kitcars Clio and 306 Maxi, the Citroen SM Proto and BX4TC..etc...

so, in the same direction: I hope they will do some Racing Golfs - they have the base - Golf 1 - for ex the Kamei rallycar - and for the Golf 2 thet won the Group A Championship in 86 with Ericsson...

Another one is the Citroen BX 4TC - rallycar (they did the street version).....or teh R17 gordini

Someone was writing about the Peugeot 205 PikesPeak - but that is already made by Solido....so Why not the 205 T16 LongVersion from Dakar Rally - or why not the Peugeot 405 T16 Pikes Peak??

And at last: OTTO - pleae donn't waste time in making cars that we have as GOOD DIECAST models,,, as the Renault 5 GT or the Escort Cosworth....

That I don't understand... I can tell, because I follow closely - everytime they launch a model that hasn't been made by others - they sell imediately - somes didn't make into the webshop...why not concentrate on this??

I sent Otto an email in December asking them if they would consider producing this.....

BMW E36 M3 Imola Individual, The UK market received 50 3.0 GT's (British Racing Green) as well as the 356 for Europe (6 of those were prototypes). The Imola Individual was a unique colour combo specced by BMW UK and they decided it suited the car so a limited number of 50 were produced for the UK market only.

^ That is lovely!!

Horia - yeah there are diecasts of the Renault 5 GT Turbo, but OTTO made the 'Raider' / Alain Oreille special edition, that ones not in diecast. I'm really pleased they did it. Also the Norev car only came in Silver or light Blue in phase 2.

Techno Violet looks darker than Daytona Violet (I think DV is an Individual colour too ?)

You don't have aythnig to lose if you're good at repaints. Or you could send it someone on here for a colour change.

^ for sure!!! I think that as they've been doing BMW models, they might do that one.

You can always propose it to them, but they'll probably just say they'll think about it.
